New York November 2015

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

This November I was privileged to be a part of the Founding of the International Parliamentary Coalition for the Victims of Sexual Slavery. This group, made up of over 75 members of State and National Parliaments has come together to tackle the long standing fight to end violence against women and children and support the victims of human trafficking through better international law enforcement and global awareness.

The foundation of the IPCVSS took place in New York City, USA, where I joined with my fellow Founding Co-Chair's Senator Yonah Martin of Canada, Rep. Jasmine Lee of the Korean National Assembly

and Congressman Mike Honda of the United States of America House of Representatives.

It is hoped that over the coming months and years this coalition of Parliamentarians will be able to continue to support the goals set out by our Foudning Chairs Committee and the Launch Footage can be found below via UNTV.
